The Twilight is a Terra-class saber; built for close range planetary combat in small group engagements. The armored body gives a three dimensional grip, meaning the wielder has traction on roll, pitch and yaw forces. This is critical in maintaining control of the weapon in fierce combat conditions. The armor on the grip provides increased structural rigidity and impact resistance. The neck of the saber is grooved to provide a choke point and even the emitter itself offers a gripping surface for those who prefer to hold their saber directly beneath the energy blade.

The Twilight also fills the assault role by having a built-in coupler in the pommel. Two Twilights can be joined together to make a powerful staff, creating a whirling dervish of destruction. It's easy to see why this saber was adopted by Omega Chapter to fulfill the assault role.
