The Antares is a Nautica-class saber which serves as the Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) for Lord Antares of House Robinton. While the original specimen of this weapon is perpetually under lock and key, Crimson Dawn is proud to offer this exact replica so that you, too, may own a piece of galactic history.

The Antares was built for practical, defensive combat yet is still a beautiful weapon. This is evident to anyone who first wields it. The hilt is nicely balanced and light weight. The grip groves on the main body are deep enough to provide excellent grip, yet are also smoothed so they won't slice up your hands.

Handling is made much easier with a dual choke point on the neck. The emitter features a thin horizontal vent with a 45 degree angle cut. This emitter provides sufficient heat dissipation, not to mention it gives the Antares an intimidating presence.

Like many other saber duelists before him, Lord Antares chose the Armitage style pommel for his personal weapon. The "faucet knob", as it has been coined, provides counter balance to the saber and ensures the saber will never slide out of the hand unwantedly.

House Robinton is a great house of the Periphery that is aligned with the Sovereignty, a federation of allied worlds that remains the only political rival of the Imperium left in the galaxy. The Knights of House Robinton are known as honorable warriors whose hearts know only virtue, sworn to protect the weak, defend the innocent, and whose wrath will undo the wicked.

To the valiant Knights of House Robinton, honor is the most important virtue to uphold. More important than victory. More important than life itself. Earning the Loyalty-Oath of the Knights of House Robinton ensures that you have an ally that will always come to your aid and willingly risk their lives when called. Consequently, Knights of House Robinton are constantly deployed throughout the galaxy in support of those whose oaths they swore, further increasing the esteem and reputation of their house. This also means that there are never many Robinton Knights actually on their homeworld, or even their own star system, at any given time.

The seat of power of House Robinton is Lord Antares from the Robinton homeworld of Prin, a world with many varied ecosystems from desert to tropical. Life on Prin is surprisingly simple. You are far more likely to see a farmer tilling damp soil or a child flying a kite than you are to see an open-cockpit speeder flying overhead. This is quite the contrast to most other great house homeworlds, which are busy metropolises with every convenience modern technology can provide. The culture of Prin feels technology should be used to further the mission of their Knights, not for comfort or opulence, which is seen as a path to darkness and dishonor. The saying "Hard work builds character" is gospel on Prin.

During the war between the Imperium and the Sovereignty, Lord Antares led two major campaigns against great houses of the Inner Sphere, but spent the vast, overwhelming majority of the war answering calls of aid from his many allies whose homeworlds were facing invasion. The House Robinton Fleet would fight in several engagements per day, dropping out of hyperspace to destroy one invading fleet, then immediately jumping to the next system to fight yet again. Throughout the war, Lord Antares faithfully upheld his Loyalty Oath and earned the undying fealty of several Periphery worlds. These worlds surround the Prin star system, so while there are never many Robinton Knights on Prin at any given time, the Robinton homeworld of Prin is actually considered one of the most heavily defended planets in the galaxy.
