The Dryad is one of several Xeno-class sabers now being offered by Crimson Dawn. The 'Xeno' classification signifies that the weapon was developed by a civilization that exists outside the jurisdiction of any of the major galactic powers.
The Dryad was created by the enigmatic Eldari who value fast, lightweight weaponry. The hilt is slender with angled grooves which offer great grip even for human hands.
A peculiar feature of this saber is the angled extension that comes with it. It gives the end of the saber a 45 degree leverage point. We imagine that it is there to ensure the saber does not come out of the hand during lightning fast maneuvers, or maybe it is designed for an Eldari's three-fingered hand. We're not exactly sure why it's there, but the Dryad comes with it if you'd like to use it. If not, it can be removed as easily as unscrewing a pommel.
